You know what? I really gotta give it to Mr. Carter. His entrepreneurial spirit will never falter. It’s like, every month, he has a new business venture. Even after the TIDAL backlash, Jay is pushing forward, and still out here trying to get these coins. His latest venture? An all-pinot Armand de Brignac “Ace of Spades” Champagne that’s going for $760 a pop.
So…let me get this straight. Taylor Swift writes an open letter to Apple, and VOILA! She’s a national hero. But essentially, Jay-Z did the same thing with his streaming service TIDAL, and everybody has a problem with it. For why?

Le sigh. I hate that this is happening. I’ve been rooting for Tidal all the way, but this ship is sinking fast, and Jay and Bey are all out of life preservers.
Nicki and Bey just dropped a bomb on us and everybody’s bout to lose their minds!
Jay-Z’s tired of being politically correct. He’s offically fed up with you Negative Nancy’s and Pessimistic Patties. Jigga went off at a concert the other day, to let everybody know exactly how he feels about the lack of support for Tidal. And of course, I 100% agree with him.
Weeks after the death of Freddie Gray, the city of Baltimore is still recovering from protests. Many people have been critical of the way some Baltimore residents have reacted to Gray’s death, however, Prince decided that he didn’t want to be one of those people. He wanted to help.
Well first it was Beyonce, then it was Solange, and now it’s Tina Knowles…again. Over the weekend, Beyonce’s mama married actor Richard Lawson in a private yacht ceremony in Newport Beach, California.
Welp. If you haven’t already signed up for Jay Z’s new service TIDAL…you ain’t gettin Erykah Badu’s latest movie. You also won’t be getting Beyonce’s latest song, “Die With You”, and you most certainly won’t get to see Rih Rih’s newest video, “American Oxygen.” Sucks for you! (And me too, if we keepin’ it funky)
In the short film, They Die By Dawn, which also happens to be a Western, Badu, alongside Jesse Williams, (swoon) Isiah Washington, Michael K Williams and more, shows us how the West was REALLY won.
I don’t know about you guys but I’m super excited about this. Finally something NEW! Erykah is always thinking outside the box, and that’s why we love her. The movie debuted this week, on April 4th. Are y’all finally going to give in and check it out?
Just like the rest of you, I sat by my computer yesterday, anxiously awaiting the “game changing” announcement from Jay Z we’d been hearing so much about. Everywhere we looked, we saw “Tidal” this, and “Tidal” that, but really, most of us had no idea what the hell Tidal actually was. We didn’t know the details. We didn’t know what it meant for the future of music, our favorite artists, and to be honest, most of us still aren’t really all that clear. But what HAS become painfully clear now that the dust has settled, and we’re all well in to the morning after, is one thing: We are so f*cking entitled.
