KarmaJonez Attends ATL Advanced Screening of Almost Christmas-My Heart is Full


When I first saw advertisements for Almost Christmas, I gotta admit, I was excited, but not for the reasons I think most people were. Mostly, I was ready to see Mo’Nique get back on the silver screen, and I was equally glad that ol’ Danny Glover was still cashing those checks in Hollywood. Those two things alone were enough to spark my interest, but I just wasn’t sure if I was thrilled about seeing what I assumed would be another This Christmas.

The War Against Women


Yesterday, I came across a story that I was surprised I hadn’t heard about. Each day, we get bombarded with news stories from every outlet possible, and sometimes things can get overwhelming. But when I read the story about a Detroit woman by the name of Mary “Unique” Spears, I wished I had found out about it sooner. This mother of three was killed by 38 year old Mark Dorch after Spears allegedly turned down his sexual advances at a bar.

BET’s #BeingMaryJane Advanced Screening (Recap)


Last night, I had the pleasure of attending the advanced screening of BET’s hit TV series, “Being Mary Jane” starring Gabrielle Union. I must say, I was impressed! I’ve been a bit of a critic of the show in the past, but this first episode really put me back on the “Being Mary Jane” bus. I’m strapped in and ready to go!

Lifetime’s With This Ring Premiere (ATL): Why I Loved It



Saturday night, I had the pleasure of attending the Cocoa Fab premiere party for Lifetime’s “With This Ring” ATL style. Not only did I get the chance to indulge in delicious┬áhors d’oeuvres and complimentary beverages, but I also got to meet and talk with the authors of the book, “The Vow”, which the Lifetime movie was based on.
