Who do we like more than Jimmy Fallon? Jimmy Fallon as Lucious Lyon, of course! In one of the most epic skits ever, Jimmy Fallon nails Terrence Howard’s character with this 10 minute Empire parody. I’m 99% sure you don’t know how you got here, but welcome to the “Jimpire.” Click below to watch!
Finally! TV’s First Family is back! And last night, we got what we’ve all been waiting for–a damn good time! Lee Daniels didn’t disappoint. The Season 2 premiere, which was appropriately titled “How the Cookie Crumbles” gave us hope that this season will be one to remember. Here are 8 of my favorite moments from last night’s show!
Last night was really fun. I had the opportunity to attend the Atlanta screening of one of Fox’s newest shows, “Rosewood.” This thriller starring Morris Chestnut, premieres on September 23rd at 8 PM, right before Fox’s hit show, “Empire.” I’m really excited about Fox’s line up this fall. They’re winning right now. Click below for the scoop on “Rosewood”, “Empire”, and to get a look at the racy trailer for “Scream Queens.”
Y’all ready for some action?
Word on the street is the guest stars for the new season of Empire will include celebs like Alicia Keys, Kelly Rowland, Patti LaBelle, Lenny Kravitz, Chris Rock and Ludacris. Not to mention Ne-Yo is teaming up with Timbaland on production. I have to admit, this trailer is blah. But I know the show won’t be, so I guess I’ll give it a pass! One thing’s for sure, Lee Daniels n nem are ALWAYS having a good time behind the scenes.
Everybody wants to be a part of the Empire, right? Well here’s your chance. The people over at Fox are launching a singing contest, with the grand prize being an appearance on Empire Season 2! Check out the details below!
I don’t know about y’all but I’m itching for a new season of Empire. Lucky for us, today Lee Daniels blessed us with some behind the scenes footage of his newest hit series.
Taraji P. Henson made history over the weekend at the Critics’ Choice Television awards when she took home the award for “Best Actress” in a dram series. As you may have guessed, the actress took home the trophy for her portrayal of the beloved character “Cookie” on Fox’s hit show Empire. She is the first African-American actress to win the Critics’ Choice TV Award for actress in a drama.
This week, the Summer Sizzle BVI Launch Party took place at the Ricco Maresca Gallery in New York. Empire stars Taraji P. Henson and Jussie Smollett, hosted the event, and per usual, they both looked stunning.
In addition to good company and great conversation, attendees also got an opportunity to enjoy the refreshing taste of Myx Moscato. Now, I’m usually not a moscato girl, but after trying it, I’ll definitely be indulging more often.
Fashion and media influencers included Ty Hunter, Raquel Smith, Cori Murray, Demetria Lucas D’Oyley, Memsor Kamarake, Ashunta Sheriff, Satchel Jester, and more.

Just when we thought Starbucks’ #RaceTogether campaign, Kanye West and the election of our nation’s first Black President had solved all of our race problems, here comes Deadline’s co-editor-in-chief, Nellie Andreeva, f*cking it up for all of us.
Now that our Wednesday nights are lonely as ever, most of us find ourselves playing the Empire season finale back on On Demand, or searching desperately for something to fill the void. How sad our Wednesday nights have become…SMH. But then yesterday, just like that, God opened up the Empire floodgates once again, just enough for us to spill some TEA, and boy was it good!
