“When somebody shows you who they are, believe them.” The late, great Maya Angelou had lived a long enough life to know that people ain’t sh*t. This was the legendary wordsmith’s way of telling us to “stay woke” before that was even a thing. And all we did was use the quote on Facebook when we wanted to be fake inspirational. We’re sorry Maya. Little did we know this quote would come back to bite us in the ass when it comes to Mr. Robert IDontSeeNothinWrong Kelly. How did we miss all the signs?
The great prophet Puff Daddy P. Diddy Sean Combs warned us back in 2009 of the b*tchassness epidemic sweeping the nation-unfortunately, none of us took him seriously. Almost a decade later, here we are, glued to our phones, watching Chris Brown and Soulja Boy threaten each other across the interwebs. In our defense, who among us could’ve ever predicted n*ggas would take it this far? We’re sorry, Puff.
Six years ago, Chris Brown and then girlfriend Rihanna made headlines after a picture of a bruised and battered Rih Rih hit the internet. The on again, off again couple had reportedly been engaged in a heated exchange that turned violent, leaving Rihanna in very bad shape. Naturally, in the age of social media, the picture went viral, and while most of us have moved on, the truth is, none of us have forgotten.
There’s been a lot of scandal around Chris Brown lately, but what’s new? Last weekend, thousands of people traveled to Atlanta, GA to celebrate Black Gay Pride weekend. And word on the street is that Chris Brown was booked for a concert, but pulled a no show because it was a “gay” event. Chris Brown later came out and said that wasn’t the case, but I just got an email that says otherwise.
We all have our favorite celebrities. Some we like more than others. But let’s be honest, social media has really changed the way we look at some of our faves. Social media has allowed us to really get inside famous people’s heads…and sometimes, to be quite frank, I wish we didn’t have this kind of access.
This is really scary. But when you’re Rihanna, I guess you kinda have to expect that people will be become obsessed with you…what you DON’T expect, however, is for a stalker to be outside of your house waiting to kill you.
Y’all Chris Brown is at it again. This time, it looks like he just might be stalking Karreuche. Now, I’m no Olivia Benson, but it definitely didn’t look like she wanted him to go home with her last night.
