Around this time of the year, things start to get a little crazy. Everybody starts pulling out their college paraphenallia, and in an attempt to relive our glory days, when we return to our respective schools for homecoming…we act an ass. We do stuff most of us haven’t done in years, and as a result, our bodies hate us. Instead of being able to drink all night, wake up, and do it again, our bodies now need a recovery period. And even though I don’t think we’ll ever be able to bounce back like we did in undergrad, here are some foods that I think you ought to know about to help you get over that damned hangover.
In the wee hours of the morning, I stumbled upon gold. An unexpected treasure. Every now and again, in social media land, you stumble upon a Twitter or Instagram account that brings you great joy. My latest obsession–Drake’s dad.
Drake AKA Mr. Champagne Papi is quite a character, himself. Everything from his clothes, to his raps to his photo shoots, this guy really is the entertainer of all entertainers. And judging from Drake’s pappy’s Instagram page, the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree.
Who do we like more than Jimmy Fallon? Jimmy Fallon as Lucious Lyon, of course! In one of the most epic skits ever, Jimmy Fallon nails Terrence Howard’s character with this 10 minute Empire parody. I’m 99% sure you don’t know how you got here, but welcome to the “Jimpire.” Click below to watch!
We’ve all seen them. Really annoying posts from people we follow on Instagram. Whether it’s the “my life is way better than yours” post, the “check me out, I’m such a deep thinker” update, or the “caught me off guard” pic, we all know it when we see it. And that’s why this @Socality Barbie account is so great. Take a walk with me down a reallllly shady road, as we explore the world of Socality.
It’s quite possible that this is the funniest/most awesome thing I’ve ever seen. Tara Monroe, a Junior at Texas State University is a legend on campus, and now, in my mind. Like, if I didn’t hate Texas so much, I’d go visit her.
I love Buzzfeed. I can literally sit and watch their videos for hours. Today, however, I came across a video that I have to share. It got really entertaining reallllly fast.
Who’s up for some trading? I am! Over the last year, a lot has happened. And the truth is, a lot of these unfortunate (AND fortunate) events have brought out a lot of people’s true colors. Whether it be your Facebook friends, your real life friends, or your favorite celebrities, thanks to social media, we have access to EVERYBODY’S thoughts on a regular basis…and sometimes, that can be really annoying.
One thing that’s annoyed me to no end is seeing some of my favorite Black celebrities make complete and utter fools out of themselves, turning their backs on the Black community, making comments on national TV and via Twitter that they really should reconsider. So I’ve decided that there are 6 Black people that I’d like to trade in exchange for 6 White folk. Here’s who I’ve chosen:
I really like Buzzfeed. But what do I like more than Buzzfeed? Quinta B. Check out this hilarious video.
