A New Petition to Remove Don Lemon From His Position Garners Over 15,000 Signatures

Bye Bye Don! This news actually made my morning. Don “Uncle Ruckus” Lemon has finally reached peak Uncle Tom, and the American people are TIRED. After his reprehensible remarks regarding the Spring Valley High School Assault, most of us have come to the conclusion that Don just isn’t a real journalist. His inability to dig deeper and really analyze current events and draw reasonable conclusions has proven that he is unfit to be a CNN anchor, and we, the people, have received an early Christmas present.

Last night, this petition had already garnered support from over 13,000 people. This morning, the petition has over 15,000 signatures.

If you have the time or the stomach to sit through this, here is a clip of what’s got people all riled up.

Sigh. Here’s the thing about this incident–I hadn’t even planned on writing about it because frankly, I’m tired. But I’ll keep it short. This officer is an overzealous, incompetent, power hungry officer. He’s been behaving like a mad man for YEARS. The punishment did not fit the “crime’ in this instance and that should be painfully clear to any reasonable person. Maybe, just maybe the young girl didn’t cooperate because of who HE was. Maybe his reputation preceeded him? Did anyone ever think of that? Some people actually shut down when confronted with people like this guy. I mean…he’s pretty f*cking scary.

The bottom line is, there are several other options the officer could have exercised, and he chose violence.

As a former teacher and mentor who has worked with at risk youth, and highly aggressive, severely autistic children, do YOU KNOW HOW MANY TIMES A STUDENT HAS TOLD ME “NO”???! Do you know how many times I’ve been physically harmed? 5,786,901,234,6578 times.

Do you know how many times I swung them out of their desks and dragged them on the ground?

Bye Don.
