Anthony Mackie Endorses Trump & The Internet Loses It

This won’t be the first time Anthony Mackie has said some dumb sh*t. He tends to stick his foot in his mouth on a regular basis. With that being common knowledge, you wouldn’t think his most recent comments would come off as much of a surprise. Yet, here we all are…surprised AF (as f*ck). I’m gonna be honest, I don’t think any of us were ready for this one.

Today, BET reported that Anthony Mackie has officially endorsed Donald Trump for president. Here’s what the actor had to say about the Trumpster–

“I would 100 percent want to run Trump’s campaign. 100 percent,” he said. “I mean, first that’ll be the best party ever when he won, and second, Trump’s an easy sell… When you look at Trump, he’s an easy sell because you can sell him as the guy who worked his way up from nothing. And I think if you’re a ‘pull yourself up by your bootstraps’ candidate, people would identify with that.”

He then went on to say: “I’m on the bandwagon,” he said. “I’m drinking the Kool-Aid!”

Now, Anthony, you DO know that the phrase “drinking the Kool-Aid” doesn’t have a positive connotation, right? You DO know that everyone who drank Jim Jones’s “Kool-Aid” back in the 70’s was completely brainwashed and ended up dead, don’t ya? But hey, whatever floats your boat, dude.

Listen, all I know is, if Donald Trump’s success can be attributed to him “pulling himself up by his bootstraps”, then I’m officially Beyonce.

But of course, this little comment didn’t get past the people over at Twitter. The reactions were priceless, per usual.

Welp. Looks like everyone has “cancelled” Anthony. Including me.
