Oh hell nah. Things are about to get real on social media. As if things weren’t already real enough, it’s been reported that the people over at Facebook are working on a “Dislike” button.
Things the Internet doesn’t need more of: Douchebags.
And that’s all I foresee happening with this new addition. The multiplication of douchebags. They’re going to be everywhere.
The mad scientist behind the empire that is Facebook, Mike Zuckerberg says the “Dislike” button will give users the option to express their emotions more “realistically.” (Really means:More assholely)
“People have asked about the ‘dislike’ button for many years, and probably hundreds of people have asked about this, and today is a special day because today is the day that I actually get to say we are working on it, and are very close to shipping a test of it,” Zuckerberg said, according to a CNBC report.“What they really want is the ability to express empathy. Not every moment is a good moment,” Zuckerberg said.
Ok. I get the empathy part. I never understood people who “Like” people’s statuses about their dead grandmas or their flat tires. But I think the option we have is to just comment with how we feel. We don’t need a thumbs down button to tell someone we’re sorry they lost their granny.
This “Dislike” button is completely not gonna be used the way they intend for it to be used. I see this going really bad, really fast.
Facebook adds a "Dislike" button. Because what the internet really needs is more negativity.

Facebook announces that the "dislike" button is coming, giving you a brand new way to communicate with your racist uncle.

I never understood why people disliked videos. I mean does it really bring that much pleasure hitting the dislike button ?😪😪

What do you think about this decision? Good or bad move?
All I know is, nobody BETTER not hit “dislike” on my posts! You will be BLOCKED.
