If you don’t know Deray, you may not be following the news close enough. He basically lives on CNN. The young activist, a former school administrator, quit his job and set out to stand up against injustice at the hands of the state nationwide. Named one of Fortune’s “World’s Greatest Leaders”, Deray McKesson has made an indelible mark on history and continues to do so through his tireless work. But today, when I opened my eyes and logged on to Twitter, I was surprised to find that Montel Williams, of all people was up in the middle of the night, sending nasty tweets to Deray for no damn reason.

You might remember Montel as the bald head scally wag who loves white women and had a hit talk show back in the 90’s. But now that his fame is all dried up, Montel is trying to gain some relevancy by blasting a young, Black man who spends his time fighting for equal rights all across the country.

Montel. Why? Why at 2:16 AM did you feel the urge to tweet something so unnecessary and so demeaning? What is your point, sir? You’re no OPRAH, Montel. What are you getting at? Until you take your dusty behind down to McKinney, Ferguson, Cleveland, South Carolina, and wherever the hell else police officers are shooting down Black bodies for sport, then you keep your irrelevant mouth shut!

Twitter reacts:

If you want a cheap laugh, go to Twitter and search “Montel Williams.” Thank me later.
