Vice President Joe Biden’s Son Loses Battle With Brain Cancer

Everybody loves Uncle Joe Biden. He’s the quintessential wing man. He’s the kinda guy you can always count on. Unfortunately, Biden is the one who needs a shoulder to lean on after this weekend. His son, Beau Biden lost his battle with brain cancer on Saturday, at the age of 46 after his cancer returned this Spring.

Biden is no stranger to loss. Beau’s death is incredibly tragic, given their family history. In 1997, Vice President Biden lost his first wife, and one year old daughter in a fatal car accident while on Christmas vacation. He often said that his son Beau was his “redemption.” I can only imagine what he and his wife must be going through now.

Beau joined the Delaware Army National Guard in 2003 and served in Iraq from 2008 to 2009. He was also the attorney general of Delaware from 2007 to 2015. He leaves behind his wife and two children.

My most heartfelt condolences to the Biden family.
