The time has come for “Late Show” host David Letterman to say goodbye, and people couldn’t be more broken up about it. Letterman’s 33-year career was a good one, filled with laughter, mischief, and incredible memories.
Last night, the icon had his last curtain call. It was star-studded, of course. Letterman didn’t get too sentimental, but he did say this to his wife and kid:
“Thank you for being my family,” he said. “I love you both and really, nothing else matters, does it?”
Comedian Stephen Colbert will be taking over for Letterman. Those are some mighty big shoes to fill!
