E!’s popular show “Fashion Police” has been in limbo since the passing of the late great comedienne Joan Rivers. Since her death, her former co-hosts just can’t seem to get it right. The inappropriate and very funny comedienne Kathy Griffin stepped in to take Joan’s place, but apparently, after just seven episodes, she’s ready to go.
Griffin’s departure comes just weeks after her co-host Kelly Osbourne announced that she too was quitting the show. Kelly’s decision was a result of a controversial comment made by E! host Guiliana Rancic, in reference to Disney star Zendaya Coleman’s dreadlocks. It’s been rumored however, that Kelly had been very unhappy at the show, and had trouble coping with Joan’s death.
Kathy Griffin announced her decision to leave the show last night via Twitter (where all life changing announcements are made these days). Here’s what she had to say:

Lena Dunham, the star of one of my favorite shows on earth, the HBO series “Girls” praised Griffin for her decision to step down. She posted a #TBT photo of Kathy with this caption:
“Congrats to my beautiful friend Kathy Griffin for bravely saying enough is enough to intolerance of all kinds on television,” she wrote in a caption of a TBT photo she shared of Griffin posing in a pair of Minnie Mouse ears. “She’s modeling a better way for the youths (and working those ears.)”
Dunham has been on the receiving end of the “Fashion Police’s” not so nice comments a time or two:
“Let me ask you something. Lena Dunham, who again I think is terrific, how could she wear dresses above the knee?” said Rivers. When Stern replied that maybe Dunham doesn’t care what other people think, “Oh, every woman gives a sh-t,” declared Joan.
She then went on to fat shame Dunham on national television. “You are sending a message out to people saying, ‘It’s okay! Stay fat! Get diabetes. Everybody die! Lose your fingers.”
Dunham wasn’t the only one who expressed their satisfaction with Griffin’s decision. Former co-host Kelly Osbourne also sent out a “lovey dovey” *side eye* tweet.

Wow! This is a lot to take in! What do you think? Did Kathy Griffin do the right thing?
