If you guys haven’t noticed, the once Bootylicious Beyonce has slimmed down quite a bit. She’s not as…fluffy as she once was. I credit her significant weight loss to her newly acquired vegan lifestyle. Beyonce’s trainer Marco Borges challenged Beyonce and her boo thang Jay Z to a 22 day challenge in the which the couple would eat a strictly plant-based breakfast each morning. Apparently, things came so naturally to them that they took the diet and ran with it.
According to ET, Beyonce says she’s thankful she took the challenge.
“I am so grateful that I took the challenge and credit Marco with leading by example. All you have to do is try. If I can do it, anyone can. I am excited to partner with him.”
Well, I don’t know about that Beyonce…I actually CAN’T be a vegan. I love chicken way too much. Further, vegans tend to have an elitist attitude. I don’t need to hear your vegan facts while I’m enjoying my delicious hamburger. And who doesn’t love a nice crispy piece of bacon and scrambled eggs, honey? Humph! *sips tea*
But whether I’m down with the vegan lifestyle or not, I think it’s commendable that the power couple is taking their health seriously, and wants to share with others.
