Kyle Norman of Jagged Edge Arrested on Aggravated Assault Charges

In the wee hours of the morning, the Atlanta police were called about a fight that seemed to be getting out of hand. When police arrived at the home on Peters St. in Atlanta, GA, they were met by Kyle’s fiancee who they told the AJC was “visibly shaken.”

According to police reports obtained by CBS 46, the victim had welts under her eyes, and a knot of her forehead about the size of a golf ball. There was also a cut on her eye and what appeared to be a blood clot in her right eye.

Norman’s fiancee told police that Kyle had choked her with a scarf, had shoved her engagement ring down her throat and proceeded to choke her. WHOA! She says she was able to escape with his cellphone after he broke hers and hid her car keys.

The victim was able to make it to her neighbor’s house and call police. She was later taken to Atlanta Medical Hospital for care.

Kyle was found by police running down the street, and allegedly shouted “I need to go to jail.”

After calming down, Kyle told police that this was his reaction to his father being diagnosed with cancer. His ex fiancee and probably now ex boo claimed otherwise. She said the argument was about Kyle’s drinking.

I don’t know about y’all but something tells me the victim’s version of events is true. Sounds like drinking probably had A LOT to do with this. You don’t shove someone’s engagement ring down their throat because you’re upset about your ailing father. Just doesn’t add up.

Jagged Edge had just come back on the scene last year after taking a long break. It looks like they’ll be taking another break sooner than they expected.

I often wonder why celebrities can’t seem to keep themselves out of trouble. I always say, “If I had that kind of money, I’d just do my work and stay out of the way.” But then I realize, celebrities are just people. People with issues, people with HUMAN issues. Unfortunately, we’ve been seeing a lot of domestic violence incidents in the news as of late.

Kyle won’t be released until he sees a judge tomorrow at 11 AM.
